·  Provide consulting to Computer & Communication Laboratory in developing a Real-time Data Base Management System for a Telephony  Intelligent Network Project.

                                  Ported the Stellar RDBMS from CMS/Pascal on IBM to UNIX/C on VAX. Also ported Stellar to VAX/VMS, PC/Xenix, PC/DOS, and several UNIX platforms. Added some important features such as Tuple-Level Locking and Hashing Access to Stellar. Drastically improved performance of Stellar system.

·  Tailored UNIX operating system for a MC68000 based protocol processor to handle device controller, protocol converter and line disciplines.

·  Developed a form oriented system on UNIX and a parser for AT&T service  order.

·  Worked for an IBM/370/IMS based telephone directory system that keeps white page information for directory assistance and producing phone books.

·  Developed a building control system software which consists of 38 TI9900 micro processors linked to two minicomputers. Each micro processor monitors doors, alarms, detectors of a building and controls doors.

·  As a senior technical staff, constantly provided programming consulting to colleagues. Assigned twice to redesign and rewrite some troubled subsystems to vastly improved performance and maintainability.
