I. Companies Founded:

EBiz TotalSolution, Inc. was founded on February 1, 2000 by Jeff Yang and Paul Chen. The focus of this company is to develop and market the Web based CRM (Customers Relationship Management) and ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) products for the customers, as part of the eBusiness Total Solutions.

Crystal Computing Corp. was founded on November 1, 1990 by Paul Chen. The major business of this company is to develop and market computer networking related products, and to provide computer software development consulting services and solutions. The majority of the employees are engineers. Our expertise include Database and Data Network related Software Development, Microsoft Windows 95/98 and Windows NT GUI Development, Business/Office/Accounting Software Customization, and Computer Systems/Network Related Consultation/Services.

Crystal computing has been in the Internet E-Commerce related software business even before the Internet and the World Wide Web became popular. The first eCommerce store front web site we developed for RockStone Inc. in 1995 was running on Windows for Workgroup 3.11, using Visual Basic 3.0. We then developed storefront solutions for various companies including The Printer Works (www.printerworks.com), GY.COM (www.gy.com), Aries Research, Inc.(www.ari.com), and RiteHit (www.ritehit.com)

Starting 1998, Crystal consolidated the technology and the experience it accumulated from the consultation services to build its own "Cookie Cutter" software – Crystal E-Commerce System (CECS). The first set of CECS runs on both Sun’s Solaris/Apache Platform and Microsoft’s NT/IIS platform. Our business model for this CECS product line is to host the merchants’ storefront at Crystal’s Site, with the charge of 0.9% of the transaction amount. Since there was no setup fee, we did attract some merchants like Shen Kee Bakery, Japan Animation, and John Liu Ministry, Inc. to work with us.

In order to further appeal to the mom-and-pop shops to jump on our bandwagon, Crystal announced our flagship product: instant-e-store (www.instant-e-store.com) in 1999. In this self-serve, completely free shopping mall style web site, the merchants can have the complete freedom to start-up and try this entry-level on-line storefront. Crystal’s idea is to use instant-e-store to attract more merchants with the hope that some of them will need more serious services, which are fee based.

Crystal then moved ahead to form the alliance with the ISP’s and the ICP’s (Internet Content Providers) who have more than 100000 hits per day to offer a free instant-e-store at their sites and share the profit with them. The benefits of doing this are twofold. One, the merchants will have more exposures to the potential customers. Two, the ISP/ICP can increase the depth of their sites. Crystal hopes this win-win strategy will bring visibility and revenue for us.

In addition to the Crystal instant-e-store, we are also developing the related technologies and the products to service our customers. Among them are:

  • Store-to-store, or B-2-B, ordering system
  • Link with QuickBook Pro and SBT accounting software
  • Link with on-line credit card payment system like CyberCash
  • Develop Multi-lingual version for internationalization purpose

Amplifynet, Inc. was founded on January 1, 1997. Co-founded by Raymond Hou, Paul Chen, and Pauline Alker. This company raised total of 5.2 Million dollars to

develop Internet Traffic Control and Monitor system solutions. Paul Chen was Vice President of Engineering from 1/1/97 to 7/1/98. During that time span, Paul was in charge of the server side software development. The server was running on NT and Unix platforms running Apache server and IIS http server. The software was developed

by using perl 5.004 and GNU C++.

IEMS, Inc. was founded on September 1, 1998. Co-founded by Larry Kou, Peter Shang, Richard Chueh, and Paul Chen. IEMS is providing E-Mail Outsourcing Solutions to USA and Multi-lingual Clients in Japan, China and Taiwan. IEMS also provides Intranet Business Environment for the Corporate.
